What true beauty really means?

“Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself” – Coco Chanel

As Coco Chanel said, the most important thing is for you to know who you are, accept yourself, and be proud of yourself! Don’t try to be someone else because society tells you to, stop trying your best to be someone our society is expecting you to be.

In our current society, through magazines and now, Social Medias such as Instagram, Tik Tok, we are showered by stunning shots, beautiful in-shape bodies, gorgeous makeup looks, and dazzling skins.

Believing these are close to reality is wrong. First, you need to remind yourself these are still shots and they are not real life. Secondly, filters have proven to be exceptionally believable and real. Then, lots of people manage to find the perfect pose that highlights their body. And of course, lots of them fixed their shots with Photoshop and/or arranged the lighting with Lightroom and such.

In fact, Norway now forces brands and influencers to label their edited photos.

Finding your true beauty is no easy task, and it’s not about finding the best workout routine, the most efficient health diet, or the most effective non-toxic skincare routine either.

Finding your true beauty is a life journey, and it’s never too late to start getting to know yourself. As a very first exercise to learn more about yourself, start by asking yourself some simple questions about yourself, write them down and you’ll slowly get what is your own description and see for yourself. There’s no point in hiding behind lies when you’re with yourself. If you’re comfortable with it, you may even ask your surroundings to describe you on paper.

If the description you wrote does not satisfy you or make you happy, then we recommend a second one. Ask yourself what you would like to change in your life and how, then put on paper what you want to achieve, what you want to do or try.

These will guide you towards being the person you want to be. Don’t let anyone tell you what you should or should not be, listen to constructive feedback only.

Beauty is pictured as very subjective but in the end, true beauty sleeps within every one of us, you just need to find your own.

A beautiful person is someone confident in their own convictions. Find your inner beauty and love yourself.
